​Just like every other new moon this magical time heralds new beginnings.  The sky is alive right now with much ‘debate’ going on between the sun and three planets (Saturn, Jupiter & Neptune) in what we astrologers call a Grand Cross and this magical New Moon sitting in the midst of it all.  As the heavens pulsate with the push pull of these opposing and unifying processes, so also our inner self may be experiencing curiosity and conflict.

What does the energy of a New Moon in Capricorn bring to us at the beginning of a new calendar year?
 
The sign of Capricorn offers clarity of desires and practical action that will warrant success.  This is great news as we sit perched upon the threshold of a brand new year.

What do you do when everything you thought was going to happen, doesn't happen.  

Discovering ourselves, finding ourselves, remembering who we really are . . . phrases I hear getting tossed around all over the place . . . phrases I hear myself saying at times when I am uncertain of what else to say. What happens to self-discovery when we find ourselves in the middle of unexpected, (or maybe even malicious) turn of events?

I am sure we have all heard the old adage . . . 'Live life with no regrets!' . . . however, yesterday I met an intriguing young man who challenged this phrase by saying, 'I have experienced many regrets so far in my life and I will continue to have regrets until I leave this life . . . for the one who arrives at the end of his life and says he has no regrets this simply means he never allowed himself to live . . . he played it safe, did what he had to and never pushed the envelope!' (ok, so maybe I paraphrased a bit--we had had a few).

Like many, I long for world peace, the end of starvation and harmonious existence for all; yet in this longing I realize the reflection of these longings are within me . . . I long for world peace because I long to be peaceful within my own pain and thoughts . . . I long for the end of starvation because I ache for my hunger to be belong, to be accepted and to be loved, to be fed . . . I long for harmonious existence for all because I long for harmony in my relationships in that they build me up rather than tear me down! 

I sit here in this moment . . . reflecting upon the bounty of my existence . . . as I reflect here in this present moment I am overflowed with gratitude and awe!! My son has just participated in the first part of his High School Graduation Ceremonies, and I find myself more emotional than I had thought . . . I reflect on places I've been . . . the experiences that have taught me much through joy and gladness as well as the experiences that have taught me much through pain and anguish . . . as I sit here and bring my thoughts back to this present moment, I embrace the emotion of this moment . . .

Vision, Reciprocity and Harmony . . . . what beautiful words and inspiring vibrations!

VISION is how I see, RECIPROCITY is how I give and taken within myself, my own beliefs and thoughts, HARMONY is how I contextualize my subconscious within the clarity of my consciousness . . . so in essence what does all this mean?
